lowest rating you can select is a 1 star. Dr. Barber is doctor that deserves a zero rating, he has absolutely horrible beside manners. Patients are in need and should receive compassion from their doctors, they don't need to be hurried along and dismissed as though their needs are irrelevant. My dad had an appointment with Dr. Michael Barber and I accompanied him to this

I would give zero stars if I could. I think one of his major setbacks is his old school approach on psychiatry. I remember leaving my appointments feeling hopeless and had no options . I also didn’t feel listened to. While under a doctor’s care, it is supposed to be a team effort but that was not my experience with Dr. Barber. Instead ,it felt like I was running a marathon and he was watching via TV broadcast from his couch .When Covid started and we began having phone appointments , this feeling became even more evident. One of those them only lasted four minutes. It was obvious he just wanted a paycheck. Now that I have a new doctor, I have been the best I’ve ever been in a long time.

I didn’t get a chance to make it to a first meet. The receptionist at this facility was not inviting and it seemed as if I was I was bothering her by calling. Extremely brief and just rude. What a great first impression. I’ll have to circle back to my primary doctor for another referral.

When I got into the first meeting with him he was very fast and hardly gave me time to finish my sentence before jumping to the next question which never changed while interacting with this doctor. I have three mental disability’s and one of them is adhd. I was told that he wasn’t able to prescribe me Adderall which I was fine with but later he never gave me anything to help with my adhd at all and never even remotely talked about my adhd again and completely ignored it and so I went to my family doctor who’s also an MD who prescribed me the Adderall again which I needed and was close to being fired from my job because I wasn’t helped in any way for my adhd and when I tried to explain that I was taking Adderall again I was told that I went behind his back and that he won’t be my doctor anymore. Sadly he left me no choice but to get medicine from another doctor because he ignored I whole disability of mine and it was costing my job. He also prescribed me a medicine for my bipolar that was supposed to be taken near the evening but was told to take it at night by this doctor which screwed up my whole schedule because it made me feel tired about 4 hours later and stays working for about 6-8 hours so I would be super tired during work and again almost got fired after that. My suggestion, never go to this doctor

He has a terrible bedside manner should not be a psychiatrist. When you express that the meds don’t work for you and they make you sleep too much he just wants to prescribe you more of the same meds and increase the dosage.
