I unfortunately only came across this Doctor because she happened to be the on call Doctor on Labor Day 9/1/2013 at Memorial Hospital. My sweet Doctor didn’t get to deliver my child, Instead I got stuck with this rude lady who was annoyed I was there and in here own words “‘not hurrying up” having my child and threaten me with a C section instead of explaining to me the reasoning of the possible C section. I was only 19 and never had a child before. The Birth experience was over all so horrible because of this doctor I never got pregnant again.

Dr. Pellicena was extremely approachable and very engaged throughout the entire appt. Her staff was also very nice and helpful, as well as having follow up paperwork ready and waiting. I really look forward to working with her for the betterment of my health.

I really enjoyed my visit with Dr. Pellicena. Jackie, her medical assistant was exceptionally wonderful during my visit.
I noticed there are a few negative reviews here and I must say, although there may be some room for improvement; Dr. Pellicena tries her best to make the experience as professional and pleasant as possible.
This is a very demanding and front facing job, and the Dr/Staff serving us are also human. Let’s try to remember this when we don’t get the 5 star “Disney” experience we expected.
There was some miscommunication about the insurance initially with her staff but it was sorted out rather quickly by Dr. Pellicena herself.
Front desk needs a little bit of work on communication and courtesy. It may even benefit from some additional training in customer service, as it is a very front facing and people oriented position.
I think that there is always room for growth and improvement for any team and that taking the time to read the reviews is very important for every doctor.
I appreciate the time and effort to see me as a patient.

The reason I gave 1 star is their office policies at her private office. I showed up for my appointment for an office procedure and was told I had to pay a very large co- pay. That copay was in fact 90% of the total cost of the procedure!! No one had let me know PRIOR to my procedure that I would have to pay that before my appointment. I was told to pay or reschedule. I can't take days off willy nilly so of course I had to pay. When I called my insurance regarding that co-pay, I found out they charged me $260.00 MORE than the actual co-pay!!!!
They REALLY need to work on their front desk personnel. Not to mention, the follow-up visit is not free. Nope! You have to pay her for your follow up visits after any procedure! I've never had a doctor charge for follow-up visits! And again, they overcharged me for that follow up. Or as they call it, a consultation. It's a follow up. I will NOT return to this doctor.

Do not go here! This doctor wasted my time and money trying to diagnose a lump under my arm pit as lymphoma or breast cancer. Ordered several tests that were not needed, finally decided to stop wasting my money and switched to another hospital group and it turned out to be a pimple! Memorial hermann and any doctors in this group do not care about their patients, also Alexandra kept having me come back for every issue including results for a paid doctors visit! Incredible waste of time, money, and worry!
