I had an amazing experience at Memorial Eye Care! The staff was so kind, compassionate, and understanding, especially since I usually get really anxious about anything involving my eyes. They went above and beyond to help me feel calm and comfortable throughout my visit. Dr. Dixie was absolutely wonderful—so sweet, patient, and incredible. She took the time to explain everything clearly and made the whole process so much easier for me. I couldn’t have asked for better care. Highly recommend this place! I will be back for my annual visit ❤️

I used to go their Meyerland plaza store but this time I decided to go Memorial Eye Center on the Heights boulevard. I got my eye exam, ordered my glasses and also requested a prescription for computer glasses from the doctor. She said she had to do calculations and email me a prescription for computer, which did not happen.
Then I got an email saying my glasses were ready to pick up. I tried them on, my eyes were very uncomfortable. I see things double when I look forward, I told them something was not right, explained how my eyes were uncomfortable. They made me try the glasses several times and made me repeat again and again why it was uncomfortable. Then she said she would figure out what was wrong with lenses and give me a call. No one called next two days so I went there at my lunch break. They were closed. I went there again after work, they were closed. I called and left a voicemail, they didn’t return my call. I called again between work, they put me on hold for 20 min. I had to hang up to get back to work. Finally I got an email saying my glasses were ready to pick up a week later. I went there on Saturday by thinking that the lenses were fixed. The big Hispanic guy with glasses who has no people skills at all, said he has my glasses, he called but I didn’t answer my phone. I said that never happened. I wondered maybe they had wrong phone number, we checked, they had correct phone number. He again said he called several times, I don’t answer, he couldn’t get hold of me. Then he asked me what was wrong with my glasses (?!?). I was confused because I thought the lenses were fixed already. No. Glasses were sitting there for a week, so I had to go through everything all over again. I was frustrated! I told him what was wrong and said I thought they already fixed it but obviously they did not. I needed my glasses and I had no time to waste anymore. He said he cannot tolerate the attitude so either I should sit down and explain him what was wrong with the glasses (again) or he can happily refund my money back. I got my refund and walked away.
No matter how good your products are, your reputation will be down on the floors if you continue to hire people who lies by looking into people’s eyes with no shame, people has no people skills, no empathy, no respect. I will never go to Memorial Eye Center again.

I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Dixie Yee O.D. after reading the posts of other people who were treated. What motivated me to make the appointment. At my job we always have annual contact lenses for all staff through our insurance. But unfortunately Dr. Dixie explained at the time of my appointment that my contact lenses had to be colored because they are difficult to take out because I can't really see and it hurts me. The doctor did the exam and didn't understand what I told her, so I spoke to the assistant explaining absolutely everything. The doctor only told the assistant to give me some samples to see if I could see well with them, telling me to cover one eye and then the other. But the doctor didn't come back to see me again and ask me if I felt okay or could see well. Well, she didn't see me again. When they told me to go take out the lenses, I was surprised to find that I couldn't see anything, I saw blurry. I called to report what was happening and the doctor only knew how to say that she could not replace my lenses because she had already opened the box and that there are no returns. And, I said, are you serious about what you are telling me? So how am I supposed to know if I see well? So what should I have done because if I wanted to try them on it was logical that I should open the box. In the end, she simply will not do the correction because her attention was terrible. I will never return to the same place due to the lack of professionalism of Dr. Dixie Yee.

I ordered blue light protection and ended up getting premium non glare whatever the hell the ended up giving me! I called them and they said I ordered non glare which I do not give a crap about, I couldn’t care less whether ppl can see my eyes or not. They’re not blue, so whatever. End of story. They said they would call me back and never did so I ended up with glasses which serve no purpose when using a computer and minus $$$ in my pocket. I do not recommend this clinic.

I was so worried about the practice being taken over by a new doctor. But after I received my Rx I was overjoyed. My glasses felt like I was looking through clear glass. I will miss Dr. Rivera so much she always did a wonderful job with my vision and she made a outstanding choice with Dr. Yee.
