This was my closest option when visiting/staying in downtown Houston. Stopped in on a Monday late morning and it was what I would consider busy (had to wait for equipment). Other than that, it's a standard LA layout, plenty of cardio options, although the dumbbells only go to 100 lbs, when other franchise sites go to 125 lbs. What earned a 3 star was simply availability of towels and/or wipes to clean up after yourself. 3 out of 3 on the main floor were empty for my 2 hour stay which means dozens of people were unable to wipe down any equipment. Not good.

I love this gym. It does have a high volume attendance. However, the clientele here is generally very nice and chill and so far I've never been interrupted during a set to be asked how much longer. I love that there are a ton of locations, so I have the option to change my scenery if I want to, and the staff are usually chill and friendly, too. The only thing I would change would be the sanitation stations. The gym is pretty clean for the most part, but there are never enough sanitation stations... not a deal breaker for me, but I definitely think there should be more sprinkled throughout. Love LA Fitness!

Equipment is okay, compared to other locations a bit outdated and rusty. Also, this gym is always packed in the morning and evenings to the point you can barely get on a machine and can’t find a parking spot. Also, the wipes they have to clean machines are so tiny. But overall nice amenities, nice staff, clean, and in a good location. I really wish though they would’ve opened up one of the class fitness spaces for more gym space for basic members, there is only a tiny space for members paying the lower price.

I'm only giving two stars because the staff was very nice and pleasant. I came here for the first time yesterday and there were no wipes anywhere in the facility. That grossed me out to no end so I was forced to leave and go to another gym. I'm not sure how they're even operating without having any wipes available but I thought that that was gross and unhygienic beyond measure. Not sure how long they've been going without the wipes but I couldn't do it.

Fantastic experience here. The racquetball courts were well-maintained, fun to play in, and very clean. The weights seem to be organized and there were a plethora of options. Staff were very kind in the few interactions we had with them. The overall facility was great, the location is also fantastic and the gym that I hope to return to frequently.
