Worst place to buy a pizza from! I bought a pizza with my husband and picked it up and when I got home the bread was literally falling apart from the cheese cuz of how soggy it was . I’ve never seen a pizza with cheese that all cheese and topping come a part from the bread side. It was disgusting we couldn’t even put the topping back on the dough and eat it cuz the pizza looked like it was soaked in oil/water! Disgusting went back and complained and never gave me my money back worst customer service ever!

Old school spot kind of nostalgic maybe that’s why I love coming here. The chefs pizza is great! They also have a buffet on Tuesdays. Another thing that I highly recommend is the cesar salad! By far the best dressing in the world it must be made from scratch judging from the intense flavors. Good beer selection and generally fast service unless of course it’s super busy. Centrally located and overall a great experience.

The best pizza EVER !!! STAR PIZZA is a Houston LOCAL favorite ! The best goat cheese appetizer with fresh French bread ! The pizza was just the most delicious ! Amazing service ! The dessert was cheesecake heaven !

I went to eat here with my youngest son. I had ordered the GARLIC bread with cheese. When it came out, the bread which should be baked/toasted was soft. There was nowhere near enough GARLIC yet there was a good amount of cheese. My son ordered gluten free as he needs to eat that way, personal pizza which he enjoyed.
I ordered a Chicago style pizza with pepperoni. It was under cooked and might have had 6 maybe 7 pepperonis total. Our server was okay, he did ask how the GARLIC bread was, nor did he ask about our pizzas and what we thought.
Now I'm a little more critical of servers and food as I waited tables and bartended for 13 years.

I've loved Star Pizza for almost forty years. Always delicious and always consistent. Even though I live out of town, now, I try to make it there as much as possible when I'm in Houston. I love the Joes with added mushrooms and Italian sausage on their pan crust.
